How this site is made
Colophon.
Plain Markdown files, turned into plain HTML, hosted somewhere boring. No database, no plugins to update, nothing to patch at 2am. Here's the whole recipe.
Borrowed from early-'90s computer ads and magazine layouts: generous space, expressive serif type, chunky little windows and colors you could only get from a print shop. The long version is in The '90s Computer-Ad Look.
Light and dark themes, switched with the sun and moon button.

All of them are self-hosted and open-licensed, so the site looks the same on your machine as it does on mine.

No analytics, no ad trackers, no cookie banner, because there's nothing to ask permission for. Search runs in your browser. The contact form sends your message to my inbox and that's it. Details are on the privacy page.
