Kang Tae-yang is sixteen, a first-year at Sangwon High and gloriously average. Then he finds out he can set a checkpoint in his own life and drop back to it later, memory intact, while everything else resets. He doesn't go after lottery numbers. He goes after Yoon So-ra, the sharp, funny girl at the top of the class he can't talk to without short-circuiting, and every perfect redo invents a dumber disaster than the last one.
The rules are arcade rules. He keeps what he learned, never what he gained. He can hold three checkpoints, and setting a fourth leaves a leftover version of him behind. And the national college exam, the one day that decides his future, won't take a coin. It turns out you can't speedrun being genuine.

- historyIori Yagami isn't in King of Fighters '94
The bible says everybody at the arcade mains Kyo or Iori. Kyo Kusanagi is in The King of Fighters '94, but Iori Yagami first appeared in The King of Fighters '95, a year later. In 1994 the kids could main Kyo, or another '94 fighter, but not Iori.
- historyPager code 486 means "I love you"
The bible glosses 486 as "I miss you". The code stands for saranghae, "I love you", from the stroke counts of its three syllables (4, 8, 6). 8282 and 1004 are glossed correctly.
- historyKim Il-sung's death was announced on July 9
The bible has the whole country freezing on July 8 as Kim Il-sung's death leads every broadcast. He died early on July 8, 1994, but Pyongyang didn't announce it until a special midday broadcast on July 9, so any scene of the news breaking belongs on the 9th.
- structureThe canon details set the earliest start date
The King of Fighters '94 reached arcades on August 25, 1994, "Classroom Idea" came out on August 13, and "For a Long Time After That" on September 15. Since the power starts at the KOF '94 cabinet and the mixtape closes on So-ra's song, the story can't open before late August and the mixtape can't come before mid-September. The bible also lists the summer World Cup and the July news as texture, which would have to be memory or flashback. Worth fixing the calendar in the outline.
- structureA first-year doesn't sit the suneung in 1994
The suneung is the final boss and his mom's big hope, but it's taken in a student's final year of high school. A first-year in 1994 wouldn't sit it until late 1996. Decide whether the story jumps ahead, spans his three years, or makes the no-continue day a different test (a mock exam or a school entrance exam).
- bibleHis mother shares his surname
The bible names Tae-yang's mother Kang Mi-young. Korean women keep their own surname when they marry, and children traditionally take the father's, so Kang would be Tae-yang's father's surname and his mom would normally have a different one. The bible never mentions a father. If the shared surname isn't deliberate, give her another family name.
- bibleRomanization of the arcade's Korean name
The bible writes the arcade's Korean name as "Uju Oratsil". 오락실 (game room) romanizes as oraksil, so it would be Uju Oraksil. The public post only uses "Cosmos Arcade".
- bibleEvery overwritten checkpoint, or only the fourth?
The mechanic says Tae-yang can hold three checkpoints and that setting a fourth leaves the oldest behind as a residual. The finale section says every overwritten checkpoint left a residual. Those produce very different numbers of selves by the climax. Settle which rule makes residuals.
- bibleWhy So-ra remembers
The rules say everyone else resets on a continue, but So-ra feels the déjà vu and remembers a loop Tae-yang erased. The lag explains the déjà vu for everybody; nothing yet explains why she alone keeps a whole loop. Decide whether that gets an answer or stays a mystery on purpose.
- structureFinal format is still open
The site lists Continue? as a planned novel, but the bible's last line says the next step is "outline to script" and pitches it as a webtoon, an animated feature or a K-drama limited series. Decide the format before the outline, since it changes how the levels and set pieces get built.
- structureThe signature scenes have no order yet
The five levels are defined, but the seven signature scenes (the Robotic Confession, the Noraebang Doom Loop, the Mixtape, Speedrun the Group Project, the Han River Reset, Corrupted Continue and the Kitchen Line) aren't assigned to a level. The public post says as much. Placing them is the main job of the outline.
